Mi Día en el Salón de Belleza || New Concept Beauty Salon
I’m sure we’ve all struggled to find the perfect beauty salon to take care of us and our hair needs. I get questions about my hair on a daily basis and I thought I’d show you all what my day at the salon is like. I’ve gone to New Concept Beauty Salon for about two years now and I’m so happy that I took the plunge and visited their location. New Concept Beauty Salon is a Paul Mitchell focus salon, which means all their products are from the Paul Mitchell line, which I’ve found as a great hair care line.
Yo se bien que todas hemos batallado para encontrar el perfecto salon de belleza que cuide de nosotros y de nuestro cabello. Me preguntan a diario sobre mi cabello, y se me ocurrió que les voy a compartir mi experiencia un dia en el salon de belleza. Tengo llendo al salon “New Concept Beauty Salon” por dos años, y estoy feliz de que tome la iniciativa de ir a este salon. El salon New Concept Beauty Salon se centraliza en productos Paul Mitchell, lo que yo eh encontrado una línea encantadora para el cabello.
THE ARRIVAL/ LA LLEGADA
My day at the salon really does take a whole day. I wake up early in the morning around 8:30 a.m. I get dressed to head out at 9 a.m. to get to my appointment at 10 a.m. The drive to the salon is about 40 minutes but it is all worth it in the end. I’ve been going to New Concept Beauty Salon for about two years now and since my first appointment two years ago I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair.
Mi visita al salon, la verdad toma todo el dia. Me desperté temprano en la mañana como a eso de las 8:30 a.m. me aliste para salir a las 9:00 a.m. para llegar a mi cita a las 10:00 a.m. El tiempo manejando me toma como 40 minutos pero vale la pena al final. Tengo dos años yendo a este salón y desde mi primer visita, me niego a que alguien más me trabaje el cabello.
Once I arrive I’m greeted and escorted to the bathroom for a quick outfit change. They suggest you remove your shirts and put on one of their capes to make sure that your top doesn’t get ruined in your hair process. I like to be a rebel and usually keep my top on under my cape.
Cuando llego, soy recibida y acompañada al baño a cambiarme la blusa porque ellos recomiendan que te la quites y te coloques una capa para cortar cabello y de esta manera tu blusa no será arruinada con los productos para tu cabello. Ami me encanta ir en contra entonces siempre dejo mi blusa debajo de la capa.
After I’ve changed I wait until my stylist is ready to sit me down. I make my appointments with Kattya because she’s the one who styled my hair the very first time and ever since then she’s been stuck with me 🙂 If she’s ready the moment I arrive she sits me down and we discuss what I’m having done that day. I tend to show her pictures of what I want to try to achieve at the current appointment and she’ll let me know if we can do it or it will take various appointments to do so.
Después de que ya me cambie espero a que mi estilista este listo para atenderme. Hago mis citas con Kattya porque ella fue la primera que trabajo mi cabello la primera vez y desde entonces me quede con ella J. Si esta lista en el momento en que llego, me pasa a su silla y discutimos de lo que me va hacer ese dia en el cabello. Le maestro fotos de lo que me gustaría hacer, y ella me dice si se puede hacer o no el cambio o si va a necesitar más citas para llegar al resultado deseado.
THE PROCESS/ EL PROCESO
Waiting will always be the hardest part of getting your hair done. My process can take up to five hours which is crazy. Time doesn’t go any faster when you’re at the salon so I try to find ways to stay busy while I’m there. New Concept tends to play some reggaeton in the background so the atmosphere is always fun! Sometimes they’ll even offer some water or soda… and if you’re of age they’ll ask if you want some champagne 😉
Esperar es lo más complicado de cuando te arreglas el cabello. Lo que yo me hago puede tomar hasta 5 horas, lo que se me hace un poco loco. El tiempo no pasa tan rapido cuando estas en el salon, entonces busco maneras de encontrarme entretenida mientras espero. New Concept por lo regular escucha reggeaton, entonces siempre tiene un ambiente divertido!. Aveces incluso te ofrecen agua o refresco… y si ya tienes la mayoría de edad te preguntan que si gustas un poco de champagne 😉
New Concept Beauty Salon does offer other services such as waxing, haircuts, styling, makeup, mani, pedi, and so much more but this is just so you all can get a glimpse of what it’s like to get my hair done. It seems like a lot but it’s totally worth the results.
New Concept Beauty Salon ofrece otros servicios como las depilaciones, cortes de pelo, maquillajes, manicuras, pedicuras, y muchas cosas mas, pero esto es simplemente para que se den una idea de lo que es cuando yo me arreglo el cabello. Se escucha como que es mucho pero al final la verdad vale la pena.
WHY I RECOMMEND / LA RAZON QUE LO RECOMIENDO
Like I mentioned before I’ve been going to New Concept Beauty Salon for about two years and within those two years I have never had a complaint or been disappointed with the services or the stylist. Due to the distance of the salon from my home I tend to try and stretch out the longevity of my hair color and surprisingly I can get away with about 3 months without retouch (minus the new growth). I’ve gone to many hair salons and within a month my highlights are orange/yellow and look so ugly that I have to use a box color to cover it up. Since I started going to New Concept never have I had to do anything like that. The work and the products used are great quality. Can you tell I love them? haha
Como ya había mencionado tengo llendo a New Concept Beauty Salon por dos años, y dentro de esos dos años no eh tenido ninguna queja o me eh sentido decepcionada con los servicios de la estilista. Dado a la distancia de mi hogar a el salon, duro como 3 meses para volver a retocar el tinte en mi cabello y de esta manera crece. Eh ido a otros salones y dentro del primer mes mis mechas ya están anaranjadas/amarillas y se ve tan feo que eh tenido que usar tinte de caja para taparlo. Desde que voy a New Concept nunca eh tenido un problema como ese. El trabajo y los productos que usan son de gran calidad. Se pueden dar cuenta que los amo? jaja
