Valentine’s Day Tutorial || Romantic Rose Gold

Can I just say that I’m really late with this post because school, maid of honor duties, and the show FRIENDS has taken over my life. You all know I never lie to y’all so this is what has consumed my life for the most part.
But I finally got a chance to post this.
I hope you all enjoy this very romantic eye tutorial. I really liked how it came out
Let me know what you all think! ๐Ÿ™‚

You all know what needs to be done first. Primer! So I’ve mentioned this before that when I’m doing special occasions or I really want my makeup to look perfect I start off with my eyes first. Here I’m using MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. I applied this all over the eyelid to create a tacky base for eyeshadows.
As usual I went in with a light shade but today I’m using Covergirl’s TruNaked Roses Pallet. I took their lightest shade in Almond and applied it all over my lid as shown below.

________________________________

I went ahead and applied Dusk from the same pallet with a fluffy brush. This was used as my transition color. These shadows are very subtle with color but very buildable so I went ahead and built it up just a tad to add some darkness without making it look too dark.
After applying my transition shade I went on over to the right and applied the next darkest color which is Mauvergine. I applied this in my outer V to add even more darkness without bringing it into the center of my eyelid.
I then went in with Rose Gold and applied it to the rest of my eyelid. I built this up to it’s full potential which looked a lot better in person than the picture above shows.
Now let’s get rid of that fall out! I’m using Equate Beauty Original Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes. If you want a sharp edge to your shadow, now is the time to do so.

FACE TIME!
I’m sure everyone knew this before I did, but moisturizer is KEY!  I have oily to combination skin and this has helped my makeup look a lot better than ever. I’m using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. I’ll apply this all over my face and wait about 2-3 minutes to let my skin soak it up.

Next I’ll take a primer, here I’m using Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Complexion Primer, and apply it all over my face to create a smooth and tacky base for my foundation.

L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte foundation is my favorite. The Beauty Blender is obviously not my favorite. (CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT WHY) I’m using Natural Beige for my foundation color. I went a little lighter than my usual shade because during these months I lose some warmth due to lack of sun.

Now let’s conceal anything we don’t want! I’m using Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer in Medium-Dark (warm) I’ll apply it under my eyes and on any blemishes I’d like to conceal.

Obviously my lighting sucked here. I was trying to show you where I was applying LA Girl’s Pro Concealer in Yellow Corrector.
I applied it to the center of my forehead, under my eyes to brighten them up a bit, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid’s bow.

Now I went in LA Girl’s Pro Concealer in Toast to contour. You can see it I applied this to the hollows of my cheeks, around my chin, and around my forehead.

After blending the highlight and the contour I’m going in with ELF HD Powder in Corrective Yellow. I applied this directly under my eyes to begin baking.
I then went in with my CoverFx Matte Setting Powder in Medium. I went in with a flat brush and applied it everywhere I DIDN’T apply the HD Powder.

Y’all know the drill. CLICK HERE to get a full tutorial on my eyebrow routine.

Now it’s time to wipe away that excess HD powder we applied earlier.
Of course, it’s not a Lipstick and Vodka post without me forgetting to take a picture of a step, right?
Don’t forget to apply bronzer after the setting powder. I’m using LORAC TANtalizer, and I’m only going to apply that where I applied my cream contour.

Time for my favorite blush! This is Cheeky Bronze by MAC Cosmetics. I’ve used this in previous tutorials because I like the subtle sparkle in it, with just a touch of color. I’ll apply this to apples of  the cheeks and drag it slightly to my temples.

I added another layer of blush because I wanted a little more color. I’m using MAC Cosmetics blush in Melba. I applied this the same way I applied Cheeky Bronze. Start off on the apples of the cheeks then swoop slightly to the back.

After everything I go in with a mascara, here I’m using Maybelline’s Chaotic Colossal Mascara in Blackest Black. I don’t use falsies but if you would like to this is where you would apply them.

You can’t have a look without some LIPSTICK! Well in our case a semi lipgloss, but oh well!
This is Maybelline’s Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Thrill. It’s a true nude which is perfect for almost anyone.

And we’re all done!
I hope you all like this look as much as I do. It’s a very romantic eye which I love.
Please let me know what you want to see next or what you did or didn’t like about this look ๐Ÿ™‚
xoxo, K
