Breaking up with my boyfriend two years ago was probably the best thing I ever did. I don’t say that to be cruel or because he was a bad boyfriend; I say that because I was twenty years old and I had so much life to live.
These past two years I’ve been able to fully thrive in all that I do. I dedicate as much time as I can to my blog, if school permits. I’ve met people who became great friends within the short time I’ve known them and now I have the pleasure to be a brand ambassador for a clothing line that promotes the success of Girl Bosses all while they look fierce in their daily lives.
When you take time to focus on yourself and your goals the opportunities you have been searching high and low for, will come knocking on your door.
I was literally at a club meeting when someone stopped me, gave me contact information and told me to email them. I had no idea what I was doing, but I thought I needed to take a risk to get where I wanted. I sat down, typed an email, and the next week I was working with GiBoss.
This is just a random post I needed to write to tell you that the grass is not always greener on the other side, you just need to take some time to water your own grass. That’s what I did for two years, I watched my successes and my failures come and go but I knew I was doing it all for something. This may be small for some but this is a step towards my ultimate goal and that’s all that matter.
